In The Flow

The basis of continuum movement, founded by Emilie Conrad, is based on that the body is comprised of mostly water. We use sound to simulate the fluid within the tissue of our body, be it within fascia, bone, that which surrounds our brain, spinal cord and nerves, around our organs etc.  From a place of deep listening, we allow the inherent wisdom to guide our internal movement and see what unfolds.  Sound creates vibration and when we sound into our body, it is the fluid within that acts as the medium and picks up the vibratory effect.

A phrase came to me as I was walking one day: “Resting in the heart of Grace.”  I would say this work is captured by these words.  Biodynamic Craniosacral therapy is a holistic touch therapy that gently unwinds the nervous system from patterns of compression, hypervigilence, &  inertia to states of ease, resource, & flow.  It encompasses healing of the whole body/mind - physical, emotional, mental, & spiritual.

The word “doula,” also known as a “birth coach.” originates from the Ancient Greek word meaning, “a woman who serves.”  A doula is a non-medical support person who assists a woman before, during, and after childbirth. She holds as a support role for the birthing mother as well as her partner and/or family by providing continuous physical assistance, emotional support, and information.
